BipolarArtists Website

www.bipolarartists.com is about the visual artistic expression of people with bipolar disorder, (BPD) or (manic-depressive illness) and schizoaffective disorder bipolar type. Our goal is to create a website to showcase works of art that express the thoughts and feelings of people with this rather elusive, puzzling and complicated “mood” disorder. http://www.bipolarartists.com

Bipolar disorder and Suicide

Studies have shown that 25 to 50 percent of people with bipolar disorder (manic depression) attempt suicide. Thus, early diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disorder should be considered an urgent matter. So how do you know whether you or someone you know has bipolar disorder? Become familiar with the symptoms, and if symptoms are present, see a medical doctor and a therapist immediately. Do not delay. Bipolar disorder is a very treatable disease. In emergencies call 911 in the United States or the emergency number in your country.

Schizophrenia and Suicide

Four in ten people who suffer from schizophrenia attempt suicide. One in ten people who suffer from schizophrenia dies by suicide. Thus, the diagnosis and treatment of schizophrenia should be considered an urgent matter. In emergencies call 911 in the United States or the emergency number in your country. http://www.suicide.org/schizophrenia-and-suicide.html
